What will you be doing?
The Account Manager works independently and is primarily responsible for maintaining customer relationships, acquiring new customers, and monitoring market developments. The Account Manager informs and advises current and potential customers (dealers) about these developments and the role our bikes can play in growing their business. We have big ambitions form Germany, and the Account Manager will work wit hus to achieve these ambitions.
The activities you will perform as an Account Manager are:
- You map out the market and translate insights about consumer trends and competitors into concrete actions.
- You keep thorough records of agreements made, contacts established, and reports.
- You work closely with colleagues from other departments to provide the best possible service to customers and to continuously improve our products.
- You identify commercial opportunities and take appropriate action.
- You identify bottlenecks in your own work and reslove them (with the help of the Sales Manager if necessary).
- You actively build our dealer network by acquiring new customers who meet our quality criteria and contribute to sustainable growth.
- You actively seek out new customers (through trade fairs, your network, store visits, and cold calling) and conduct sales conversations in which you demonstrate what makes our products special and the added value we offer as Optima.
- You maintain relationships and communication with current customers. You look for new opportunities and how we can take advantage of them. In this way, you ensure that our services and qualitiy remain at a high level.
- You provide insight into market potential, investigate how sales can be increased, and set targets based on this research. Drawing up a strategic account plan is a logical next step.
- You will give presentations and training courses about our products. You will check whether potential dealers meet our conditions an align yourself with their whishes, while keeping a sharp eye on the commercial goal.
- You will represent our brands at trade fairs and know how to get visitors excited about our products.

Who are you?
As an account manager, selling is in your blood. You are a true performer. You are very socially and communicatively skilled and have a high degree of persuasiveness. You always think two steps ahead and adapt your daily actions to market trends.
- You have at least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or sales.
- You have at least 4 years of work experience in a similar position and are used to independently identifying and exploiting opportunities.
- You communicate fluently in German, English and Dutch, both verbally and in writing.
- You are comfortabel with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and use these tools to do your work in a clear and efficient manner.
- You have extensive knowledge of the market, industry, trends, consumer needs, and competitors.
